"I've spent my life living between languages, cultures, and genres."

English — Native Mandarin — Fluent Russian — Heritage

Born in Minsk, Belarus and raised in Maryland, I studied History and Asian Studies at UMBC before my first trip to Taiwan in 2012. For over a decade, I built a life Taiwan as a teacher, coach, writer, and translator where I earned my M.A. in Translation and Interpretation from National Taiwan Normal University. Now, I live in Los Angeles, expanding upon my linguistic skillset as a video game localizer and freelance writer/translator.

My writing spans literary translation (Mandarin → English for Taipei Chinese PEN), travel and culture essays published on Reach to Teach and the Baltimore Post-Examiner, and video game writing and localization, including narrative transcreation for Yotta Games.

What ties it all together: a deep belief that language is a bridge, and that the best writing — whatever the genre — makes you feel at home somewhere new.

Available for freelance video game writing, literary translation (Mandarin → English), editorial work, and cultural consulting.
